Arriving at Wave Nordic Spa

All spa guests can park in front of Wave Nordic Spa. You’ll see the parking lot as you enter The Oxford Hills’ premises. Overflow parking is at the top of the hill. If parked on top, please walk down the path past tee deck #1 and find the spa entrance on your left.

Upon Arrival

Upon parking your car in the lower parking lot, follow the signs and walk around the left side of the building to find the entrance to Wave Nordic Spa. Upon entry, you’ll find our reception desk, where our staff will welcome you.

If parked on top, the entrance can be found by walking down the path past Tee Deck #1, located on the right side of the building. The spa entrance will be on your left.

Eating at Wave Nordic Spa

At KALOS restaurant, a special spa lunch menu is available to all Wave Nordic Spa guests. Think of specialty coffees, soup, salad, flatbreads, bowls, and more!

We’re also offering bottomless mimosas from 10AM – 12PM for just $35 (+HST) per person!

Please note: a plating fee will be applied to any outside cakes, desserts and other treats brought onsite.

Where is Wave Nordic Spa located?

Wave Nordic Spa is located in beautiful Mount Elgin (Oxford County), Ontario, 10 minutes from Highway 401 (between Ingersoll and Tillsonburg). Wave Nordic Spa is located on The Oxford Hills’ premises.

What are Wave Nordic Spa’s hours of operation?

How do I get to the spa?

Transportation by car is recommended and complementary parking on the premises is included. If you don’t have a car, the easiest way to get to the spa is by taxi or through a carsharing service. Once you arrive at The Oxford Hills, simply follow the signs for Wave Nordic Spa.

What are the spa's time limits and check in times?

There’s no time limit for our Nordic Spa access (day pass). You select your own arrival time upon booking your spa day and stay as long as you want (within the spa’s operating hours). The “15 minutes” noted on your booking is your “check in” time (arrive 15 minutes prior to the time you’ve booked). Please complete your waiver forms and health history before your appointment.

What is included in the day pass price?

Our Nordic Spa day pass includes access to the cold plunge, warm pool, hot tub pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot stone beds, dump buckets, relaxation rooms, hammocks, fire pits, lounge chairs, outdoor bar and patio, and indoor restaurant (including lounge area). Robes, towels and one glass of prosecco are also included in the price. We recommend bringing a bathing suit, flip-flops/sandals and a reusable (non-glass) water bottle.

Is payment required at the time of reservation?

Are you taking group bookings?

You can book your group appointment (up to 6 guests) through our online booking portal Fresha. Simply select your service(s), continue to add guests (along with their service selection) and pick any of the dates available. Wave Nordic Spa does not offer any discounts for groups. Please note: we do have group packages for corporate and private events. For more information, please email wavenordicspa@gmail.com.

Will I receive a confirmation email of my reservation?

Do you accept cash?

While we recommend paying via credit or debit card, we do accept cash at check in. Cash is also accepted on the rest of The Oxford Hills premises, including KALOS Restaurant and the Pro Shop. Please note: the use of a credit or debit card is required to book your appointment and pay your deposit.

Where do I keep my belongings while using the facilities?

Lockers are included with entry to the spa. Lockers are locked and unlocked with the key that you will receive upon check in. We advise you to leave your valuables at home to ensure you don’t leave anything behind. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

Can I bring personal items with me?

Your day at Wave Nordic Spa will require very few personal belongings. We recommend bringing a comfortable bathing suit, a reusable (non-glass) water bottle, and flip-flops/sandals. Bathing suits and flip-flops/sandals are required in all areas of the spa. If you wish, you can bring sunglasses and a good book. All unused items can be stored in the lockers on site. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

Wave Nordic Spa allows minimal usage of phones. We ask that you help us build an environment that feels safe and private for all guests – photos of others are not permitted due to privacy regulations. If you wish to take photos, please ensure you only take photos of the spa amenities and your own party. Feel free to share this on social media (and tag @wavenordicspa and @theoxfordhills).

What if there is inclement weather at the time of my reservation?

Rain or shine, Wave Nordic Spa is open all year round. Our facilities have been designed in such a way that you can enjoy the spa regardless of the weather (our sauna, hot tub, hot stone beds and relaxation rooms are especially cozy on rainy and colder days!). Consequently, the weather forecast does not affect your reservation and Wave Nordic Spa does not offer compensation for inclement weather. Please note: in case of lightning or thunder, all outdoor pools will be temporarily closed as per health regulations. All other amenities remain available. Wave Nordic Spa does not offer compensation in the event of full or partial closures due to unforeseen circumstances including bad weather or electrical outages.

Are your massage therapists registered?

What type of massage should I choose?

Prior to your massage, your RMT will conduct a brief assessment to provide you with a safe and appropriate massage. The assessment may or may not include a discussion about what could be bothering you, a range of motion assessment or specific orthopedic assessment. The assessment portion of the massage will only be a few minutes to gauge the condition of your body and what areas can be worked on to improve overall health. Our highly skilled RMT’s can provide a customized treatment to meet your needs.

Do you offer pre-natal massages?

When should I arrive for my massage?

Can I use the pools before my massage?

Yes, as long as you have booked “RMT Massage + Hydro Therapy”, you can use the pools before or after your massage. The only exception is when booking the first or the last massage of the day (as you would be unable to access the pools before or after official opening hours).

Can pregnant women use the pools?

Pool use is not recommended for pregnant individuals since sudden temperature changes may lead to complications. We recommend consulting your doctor for more information. Whenever possible, our professionals are able to adapt massages and other treatments to ensure your well-being and that of your baby.

What are your pool temperatures?

What are the benefits of a sauna?

The sauna is to be enjoyed for about 15 – 20 minutes. However, please ensure you listen to your body and stay hydrated. Some sauna benefits include:

Where can I go for food and drinks during my spa day?

The Oxford Hills offers a tranquil lounge area where you can put your feet up and simply relax! Take the stairs or elevator upstairs and enjoy some quiet time, leisurely reading, and indulge in some drinks and light to-go fare such as charcuterie boards and other light snacks, that are offered all day, every day (space limitations may apply). For a bigger appetite, KALOS offers a special spa lunch menu that’s available to all Wave Nordic Spa guests (Tuesday-Sunday). After 5PM, KALOS’ dinner menu is available (Thursday-Saturday only).

What are the operating hours of the restaurant?

KALOS restaurant’s complete hours of service are as following:
Tuesday/Wednesday: 10AM – 3:30PM
Thursday-Saturday: 10AM – 3PM (Lunch) + 5PM – 8:30PM (Dinner)*
Sunday: 10AM – 3:30PM
* Hours subject to change without notice. Kitchen closes 30 minutes after closing.

Can I bring my own food to Wave Nordic Spa?

In general, no outside food or drinks are permitted on The Oxford Hills premises, including Wave Nordic Spa. You are allowed to bring a reusable water bottle and consume water at the spa. “Special occasion” treats are allowed, but a plating fee will apply. All food and drinks are to be consumed at KALOS Restaurant and/or its lounge area.
